MALUDAM: A total of 3,900 household heads (KIR) in Lingga state constituency will soon receive assistance which is to be distributed in stages.
Lingga assemblywoman Simoi Peri hoped the assistance ― in the form of essential food items ― would help reduce financial burdens of villagers throughout the movement control order (MCO) period.
“Today, we have distributed 1,100 food items to KIR in villages and longhouses around Maludam and Triso.
“Meanwhile, for other places, assistance will be given in stages,” she said. At the same time, Simoi also urged the communities in Lingga to fully comply with the MCO directives in order to help the government stop the spread of Covid-19.
