MUKAH: Some 40 organisations received cheques for Projek Mesra Rakyat (PMR) here today.
The recipients included village development and security committees (JKKKs), parents-teachers associations (PTA), and youth clubs from the Mukah constituency.
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) and Mukah MP Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib handed over the cheques to the recipients in a simple handover ceremony at the Mukah Parliament Service Centre here.
It is learned that the recipients were from a total of 72; the remaining recipients will be given their cheques at a later date.
Acting Mukah district officer Peleadzman Ahip also attended the event.
