40 to ride 324 km to Pontianak

KUCHING: The ‘Ride to Support Pontianak International Bike Week (PIBW) 2018’ was launched by the Assistant Minister for E-Commerce and Entrepreneur and Small, Medium Enterprise (SME) Development, Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais at Telang Usan Hotel here on Tuesday night.

The event which starts today (February 22) would end on February 25 at Mahkota Hotel in Pontianak.

Lisna Listiawati, who is the operation director of the programme, revealed that more than 40 bikers would ride the 324-kilometre journey to Pontianak.

“About more than 40 bikers will join the convoy which will start on February 22 from Kuching to Pontianak passing the Tebedu border and to Kuching passing Biawak border, Lundu on February 25.”

Lisna added that a charity ride activity in an orphanage known as AR Rahmah in Pontianak would be held to support the PIBW 2018 programme.
