KUCHING: A forty-year-old local man is the latest Covid-19 fatality in the state, bringing the total number of deaths to 36 to date.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the deceased was Case 1,880 who was admitted to Sibu Hospital.
“He was admitted to Sibu Hospital due to breathing difficulty. His health condition deteriorated and was pronounced dead on Jan 29,” it said in a press statement.
The deceased’s rT-PCR test came back positive.
The patient was also suffering from high blood and dyslipidemia.
SDMC has extended its condolences to the family members of the victim.
