BAU: More than 400 visitors attended the Gawai Carnival Redeems 2019 yesterday.

The 14th edition of the carnival was held at the Redeems Centre here.

Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep said the carnival was not new to Sarawakians as it was already the 14th edition when met by the New Sarawak Tribune yesterday.

“It is already popular not only in Sarawak but also throughout Malaysia.

“We will continue to hold this event in order to promote our tradition and culture,” he elaborated.

On the expectations of visitors from outside of Sarawak to this event, he said, “They are most welcome to explore something new and different from the other places that they have visited.”
