MERADONG: Six hundred people were vaccinated at the Bintangor Community Hall vaccination centre (PPV), on Thursday (June 24).
Meradong PPV chief Dr Nur Khairi Deris said around 400 received their second dose of Covid-19 vaccine while the rest had their first dose.
Dr Nur Khairi told Meradong Information Department (JaPen) that she was satisfied with how smooth the National Covid-19 Vaccination Programme here had gone.
However, she hoped that the number of volunteers could be increased to ensure the programme go on without a hitch.
Meanwhile, Kampung Melayu Bintangor Zone 4 headman Mohd Azizi Girim was delighted to have completed his doses and commended the government for the programme.
He also thank the Meradong District Office for organising the programme and ensuring that no one was left behind.
Mohd Azizi urged those yet to register for the vaccination programme to do so and not to be worried.
Meradong JaPen also talked to tuai rumah Junis Juli, who said 90 per cent of his longhouse residents had been vaccinated and he hoped that everyone in Meradong would be vaccinated by August.
