41 ministry staff earn excellence award

KUCHING: The outstanding performance of 41 staff of the Ministry of Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development was acknowledged on Monday night here.

They received their recognition during the ministry’s Ramah Mesra Gawai Raya do, which included the Excellence Service Awards ceremony.

The recipients were staff and officers from the ministry’s departments and agencies throughout Sarawak.

Among them were Masni Julaihi, Gabriel Mampang Kloni, Sharifah Mahani Wan Taha, Clement Songes and Uwieng Gimo.

Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, in her speech earlier, said the awards were to encourage officers and staff to always strive for excellence.

“I hope with this recognition, it will drive us to work more efficiently,” she said.

Also in attendance were Women, Family and Childhood assistant minister Rosey Yunus, Community Wellbeing assistant minister Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, Women and Family Department director Noriah Ahmad and State Social Welfare Department acting director Joni Nurudin.
