KUCHING: Forty-two errant individuals were each slapped with a RM1,000 compound for failing to comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in public places.

“Bintulu police have raided an entertainment centre in Tanjung Kidurong at 3am and arrested two locals for managing an unlicensed entertainment centre and operating overtime.

“In the raid, 40 patrons were compounded for not practicing physical distancing,” the committee said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Local Government issued 63 verbal, written, and seizure warnings in areas under the supervision of various local councils,”
