SERIAN:  The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) SMK Serian Unit organised a five-day orientation course attended by 45 of its youth leaders at the MRC Serian District Office here.

The course was concluded with an action plan, following a review of the unit’s various achievements either at the national level, MRC Sarawak state level or at the school level for the past one year.

Officer-in-charge of MRC Sarawak Unit Phang Nyuk Lan said the course was staggered over two weekends on Nov 29 – 30 and Dec 3-5.

Apart from reviewing their achievements, the course helped to provide an avenue for the participating youth leaders to share their experience and knowledge, she said.

It was also to foster a better friendship and understanding among the leaders from their various backgrounds, she added.

Phang stressed that the Unit’s performance depended heavily on good teamwork among the leaders, members and teachers in-charge.
