KUCHING: Thirty seven people were fined during “Ops Bersepadu” raids at two premises here for violating the standard operating procedures (SOPs) during the recovery movement control order (RMCO).

The raids, held in conjunction with Malaysia Day by a team from the Kuching District Police Headquarters, took place from 9pm on Tuesday (Sept 15) until 1am the next day.

The SOP violators consisted of 14 men and 17 women.

Acting Kuching District Police Chief, Supt Merbin Lisa, in a statement on Thursday (Sept 17), said all suspects were detained in raids conducted at an eatery in Jalan Petanak and an entertainment centre at Jalan Bukit Mata here.
