SIBU: A total of 479 families in the Sentosa Resettlement Scheme Phase 2 subjected to the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) received donations from Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Dudong head Tan Sri Bustari Yusuf last Saturday.
Sibu Municipal Council Councillor Nazatusyima Bujang said the donation, which included two chickens, was provided to the head of each household; households of six or more received two sets of donations.
“Also with us is the Farley Foundation who donated food baskets containing essential items like rice and oil,” she said on Sunday.
Nazatusyima said the distribution of the aid, which started at 8am and ended at 12pm, was made possible by the PBB Dudong Women wing.
“To the members of the PBB Dudong Women wing, thank you for the effort and well done.
“Each group inquired from the heads of households and donations were given according to information given to them. This is because our goal is to ensure no one is left behind,” she said.
