MIRI: As many as 4,834 proposed projects have been listed for approval in the Limbang Division this year covering development of road infrastructure, public facilities as well as basic necessities.
According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), these include rural roads, agricultural road the social amenities, Hardcore Poor Housing Programme (PPRT), Rural Electricity Supply (BELB), Rural Water Supply (BALB) and installation of street lights.
Limbang Division Resident Ir Ahmad Denney Ahmad Fauzi disclosed this when he officiated at a mini lab for Limbang Division development projects under the Ministry of Rural Development (KPLB) at Imperial Hotel here on Saturday.
He hoped that the input from the mini lab would get the attention and approval from KPLB, especially in the aspect of channeling funds to drive the development agenda in Limbang Division.
“This mini lab is very important to ensure that each proposed development project can be implemented properly and according to schedule,” he said.
He stressed that the projects were aimed at providing connectivity to the rural community, which in turn could improve the quality, standard of living and communication access.
