When you see the word “Morning Workout”,you would definitely bat an eye towards a different direction and thinking why would I want to get up early when i can have all the time in the world and get my morning beauty sleep?

The idea of waking up at 4.00AM or by 6.00AM at least itself seems like a dodgy virtue for someone who values caving in their bed throughout the day. Even I was reluctant to wake up in the morning if i could so that i could spend just a few more minutes for some of that good quality sleep on my bed.

Before this,I had a fixed routine which consisted of (In order from the start and end of the day) Waking up – Eating – Work – Eating – Working out – ‘Lepak’ing – Eating – Gaming – Sleeping. As “healthy” as it appears to be for a 23 year old, i still felt a bit off,out of focus and lazy most of the time. But all of that changed after i made working out in the morning a habit in my daily life.

As a sleepyhead turned morning person,let me be the one to tell you that working out in the morning is as beneficial, if not better, than working out in the afternoon. The benefit it reaps may surely make you think otherwise and may perhaps change your mind in attempting a morning workout session!

Here are the 5 benefits that I’ve seen so far from my experience and the outcome it gives you towards the end of the day!

Boosted Energy
What do you mean “More Energy”? I previously mentioned that I used to be a sleepyhead in my days before converting into a morning person and as much I love sleeping, working out in the morning gave me an extra burst of energy instead of draining my life essence that was reserved for the whole day.

I noticed that I’m more focused, alert and less groggy in my workplace and noticed I’ve had that time to wake up both physically and mentally ready in which not even a good cup of coffee can get me going in a day the way a good morning workout can. The intensity, energy and good music during a morning workout – It’s unfathomable in words.

More Confidence
Undoubtedly, with the boosted energy turned into boosted confidence, you get this feel good feeling shrouding your very stature thanks to that endorphin high from good ol’ morning workout and you can hit the showers straight after you’re done! Think about it, the combination of feeling energised, endorphined-up, freshly showered, and organised just makes you feel like a whole new person surrounded with confidence.

Better Discipline
With reluctance, comes acceptance turned into habit. With a physically and mentally ready mind, you unconciously harden your will and remain firm with your decisions in your eveyday life. Not only is it applicable to your general daily do’s, but it also helps you in making decision making and changes the way you deal with personal matters.

Consistency
Let’s be real, nobody plans a social event or get-togethers at around 6 a.m. You won’t be needing to have to tell your collegues or friends that, “Sorry I can’t make it, I have a workout at 6 a.m.

Sometimes, you find yourself having to skip workouts in the afternoon, evening in favor of a social or sometimes professional life. By shifting your workouts in the morning, you have won’t have any conflicting schedule for your activities in a day unless you were out hiking the whole day then that’s a whole different story. With that, you’ll have a consistant schedule with more time in a day.

You Love Yourself More
With the boosted energy, confidence, discipline and consistancy visible to your eyes and others, you will notice that you are a changed man (or woman) and realising that, makes you love yourself much more.

Speaking of that, you will start to feel good about yourself and that you are open to a brighter perspective where you find yourself constantly seeking for a challenging experience. With that in mind, loving yourself makes you soar higher!
