MIRI: A total of 50 people participated in the Gong Xi Fa Cai Brisk Walk 3.0 in conjunction with the Chinese New Year 2022 celebration.
The event organised by Laksa Runner Miri was held at 6am with the participants gathered at Miri Library, yesterday (Feb 6).
Organising chairman Azlan Ramli said the activity was to enhance relationship between Laksa Runner Miri members from all walks of life.
“The walk was also well received among the Miri community who had joined us in fostering healthy and fitness in our daily lives.
“The walk starts from Miri Library through Miri Civic Centre, Sayangi Miri landmark to Jalan Kinsway, Wireless Walk restaurant and then back to Miri Library, complying with the standard operating procedures (SOP),” said Azlan.
Apart from that, Northern Sarawak Journalist Association (NSJA) has organised the Sayangi Miri Chinese New Year 2022 photography contest, with Laksa Runner Miri supporting the activity.
By joining in the walk, participants can take photographs of the Chinese New Year celebration vibe around the city.
To join the contest, participants will only need to send photos through an e-mail together with personal information.
Information must include full name, identity card numbers, telephone numbers, e-mail address and a slogan, and then send it to nsja.miri@gmail.com before the closing date on Feb 18.
