BINTULU: A 50-metre crack was spotted at KM7 Jalan Merit in Tatau yesterday.
Deputy Bintulu Resident Husaini Hakim, when contacted, said he had notified this district’s Public Works Department for repair works.
Stress marks and cracks had appeared along the road and photos of the affected area had been forwarded to the authority concerned, he said.
“I have forwarded the photos on the affected road to this district’s PWD for further action,” he reiterated.
It is unclear what had caused the stress marks on the road.
Warning and maintenance signs and lights had been installed at the area for the safety of road users, he added.
