50 teams join Amazing Race Sarawakku Sayang 2022

KUCHING: Fifty teams comprising 250 female civil servants from state and federal departments joined the Amazing Race Sarawakku Sayang 2022 at Sunset Ballroom, Damai Beach Resort in Santubong.

The event was organised by the Welfare and Sports Council of Malaysian Government Members (MAKSAK) Women Sarawak on yesterday (Aug 13).

Wife of the Head of State Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib, who is also the patron of MAKSAK Women Sarawak, was present and officiated at the closing ceremony of the race.

According to Sarawak Department of Information (JaPen), during the ceremony, 10 teams who scored in the top ten highest ranking received cash prizes presented by Ragad.

Apart from that, hampers were also presented to winners in various categories such as group cheers and so on.

Before this, the race started from the old State Legislative Assembly (DUN) building and ended at Damai Beach Resort.

The race is an annual activity since 2012 which aims to enhance the relationship between female civil servants organised by MAKSAK Women Sarawak.

Also present at the ceremony were MAKSAK Women Sarawak chairwoman Datin Sri Badayuh Bujang and wives of the heads of department.
