It was meant to encourage active participation of the local communities in efforts to improve their qualify of life through proactive and effective participation in social and economic activities.

“It is also in line with DBKU’s vision of tranforming Kuching into a vibrant and dynamic city. DBKU’s agenda this year is themed ‘Empowering MyCommunity’,” it pointed out in a statement yesterday.

A total of 56 participants, comprising five DBKU officials and 51 KJM chairmen from the five state constituencies within DBKU’s jurisdiction, namely, Pantai Damai, Demak Laut, Tupong, Samariang and Satok took part in the workshop held at Damai Beach Resort last Saturday.
