57 bodies receive RM662,100 in grants from Nanta and Jamit

KAPIT: Fifty-seven Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs), non-governmental organisations (NGOs), associations and clubs grants totalling RM662,100 from Member of Parliament for Kapit Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi and Bukit Goram State Assembly Jefferson Jamit Unyat.

The grants were presented by the two elected representatives at Meligai Hotel here on Monday.

Of the total sum, RM410,700 was from Jamit’s allocation which benefited 41 recipients from Bukit Goram while the balance of RM251,400 was from Nanta’s allocation which benefited 10 recipients from Kapit and six from Song.

The grants recipients from Bukit Goram are Baleh Social & Rekreasi Club, Kelab Sukan Rekreasi Bermotosikal, Sg Sesibau Tengah JKKK, Sg Sesibau SIDS unit, Sg Anggau Kapit JKKK, Bukong Baruh Menuan JKKK, Semunjan Ili Belawai JKKK, Rh Panjai Ulu Sungai Sibau JKKK, Ng Semulong JKKK, Bahagian Kapit PKDBS, SK Kapit PIBG, Kelab Rekreasi KEMAS Kapit, SK Ng Trusa PIBG, Ng Entangai JKKK, Rumah Manok Manchal SIDS unit, Lubok Mawang Yong JKKK, Rh Panjai Ng Sebabai JKKK, Sebabai Ili JKKK, Ng Sempili JKKK, Kapit PDK, Rh Nudong AJK, Taman Ixora Tabika, Kapit SIDS, Ng Ensilai JKKK, Ulu Entangai JKKK, Ng Sepayang JKKK, SMK Selirik PIBG, Lepong Menuan PIBG, Batu Tukup Menuan JKKK, SK Nanga Yong PIBG, Ng Belinyu Menuan JKKK, Batu Berdiri Ulu Yong JKKK, Bukit Goram Methodist Church, SK Ng Bena PIBG, Ng Merating Women’s Bureau, Ka Ong Methodist Church and Kapit Education Sports and Cultural Club.

The 10 recipients receiving the grants from Nanta are Baleh Kapit Raft Safari, Kapit Perkep, Chung Hua Kindergarten School, Ng Pelagus PIBG, SK Lepong PIBG, Sarawak Tropical Rainforest Hash Club, Lubok Baya Seranau JKKK, Ng Ensilai JKKK, Rh Bdol SIDS unit and Rh Panjai Nanga Sekukut Sg Yong JKKK.

The other six recipients are Song Rando Club, Song PSKPP, SMK Katibas PIBG, Rh Ajut JKKK, Rh Abo JKKK and Rh Belang JKKK.

Present at the grant presentation ceremony were Political Secretary to the Chief Minister Tapah Ata, Kapit District Officer Elvis Didit, Nanta’s Special Assistants Ambrose Abong Bugek and Watson Awan, and local community leaders.
