UKAH: The heavy drizzle yesterday morning failed to dampen the spirit of locals to take part in a gathering and procession held in conjunction with this year’s Mukah division Maulidur Rasul celebration at the Setia Raja Mosque here.
Themed `Menyantun Umat Membawa Berkat’, the procession which started from the mosque before proceeding to Mukah New Township, Medan Setia Raja Commercial Centre and back to the mosque was participated by 57 contingents with more than 4,000 participants from all walks of life.
Among those present at the function which was officiated by Mukah Resident Hamdiah Bakir who is also the event organising chairlady were district officer Shafrie Saili, Mukah Division Islamic Department officer Nazar Hamdan, heads of departments and local community leaders.
