SPAOH: Up to 600 telecommunications towers will be built by the state government over the next two years.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari said it was to cover the entire state with a telecommunications network.

“This year we build 300 towers and insha-Allah 300 more next year to create the networks in every part of the state,” he said during the telecommunication tower ground breaking ceremony in Luban Ulu yesterday.

Clearly, today’s daily business revolves around new technologies how relations between one place to another.

“So what happens next, we will connect with each other with the completion of the tower later.

“Thereafter emerged a new technology of smaller chips to emit a powerful line … technology would grow.

“I believe that, although very expensive, this is our way of transforming the economy and for me there is no other way to boost e-commerce,” he said.

For the entire Betong division, this year the government will build 39 telecommunications towers which will later create a digital community.
