KUCHING: Another 1,000 sets of food aid had been distributed by Kuching District Office together with Kuching Disaster Management Committee Friday under the Sarawak government’s State Food Aid programme.

As of yesterday, Kuching District Office and Kuching Disaster Management Committee have distributed a total of 6,150 food aid packages to the needy at Batu Kawa on seven occasions.

Essential goods included rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, biscuit and canned food.

Amidst the movement control order (MCO) period, Kuching District Office and Kuching Disaster Management Committee has instructed all essential goods’ distribution to be done by community leaders and to the doorstep of the needy, in order to minimise crowding and to better manage the social distancing requirement.
