MUKAH: A total of 64 teams vied for the championship title in the Mukah Open Badminton Tournament  2024 being organised by Titan Badminton Club Mukah held at the Indoor Stadium here.

According to Assistant Youth and Sports Officer Mohammad Arbi Rosli, this competition was held over two days from February 3 to 4.

“It was not only participated by teams from Mukah but also teams from Kuching, Serian, Miri, Bintulu and Sibu.

“With participation from other areas, it can strengthen friendship among each other,” he said.

He said this when speaking at the opening ceremony of the Mukah Open Badminton Tournament 2024, at the Indoor Stadium, here, yesterday.

Accordingly, he said, this competition also encourages sportsmanship between the participating teams.

He added that Mukah MP Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib also supported and gave provisions for the implementation of this competition.

Also present was the representative of Hanifah, Almalhakim Norshidi.
