SERIAN: The 2nd Serian Resident Cup 2017 football championship raised the curtains at Kampung Lanchang Sabai football field, Serian on last weekend.
A total of 64 teams competed for the title of the tournament organised by the Youth Club Kampung Lanchang Sabai, here.
Most of the teams are from three divisions – Serian, Samarahan, Kuching – and other teams from the surrounding areas.
The opening ceremony on Sunday was officiated by deputy president of the Football Association of Serian (PBBS), Abang Abang Marzuki Rafaee.
Also present were the acting chairman of Kampung Lanchang Sabai Serian Youth Club, Page Helbourn and heads of local communities.
Meanwhile, the first-leg match on Sunday was between the defending champions , namely Rimong Croc FC against Rata FC with Rimong Croc win where Rimong Croc won 4-2.
