BALINGIAN: A total of 648 households in the Balingian constituency have received their food aid under the Sarawakku Sayang Special Assistance (BKSS) 6.0 on Sunday.
The areas involved were Kampung Tutus, Kampung Penipah and Kampung Mateding Kecil in Mukah, as well as Kampung Suyong, Kampung Kuala Balingian and Balingian bazaar in Balingian.
Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi handed over the food aid to the villages’ community leaders at their respective locations.
The recipients of the aid, as well as their community leaders thanked the government for the much-needed assistance in this time of need.
Present at the handover ceremony of the food items were political secretary to the Chief Minister, Faridah Osman; Mukah Sarawak administrative officer (SAO) Peleadzman Ahip; and Balingian sub-district SAO Abdul Malik Talip.
