72 JKKKs in Kabong receive MRP grants

KABONG: Seventy-two Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs) in Kabong state constituency received Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants totalling RM72,000 from their elected representative, Mohd Chee Kadir.

Each JKKK received MRP grant of RM1,000 from Chee yesterday during his visit to four longhouses in the constituency.

The grants were presented for the JKKKs to carry out activities for the benefit of the people.

Chee urged the constituents, especially the Iban community in the Kabong, to always stand solidly behind the Barisan Nasional (BN) to ensure continuous development programmes would be implemented for their benefit.

“The people’s close cooperation with the government will definitely help in the sustainable development and security of the people.

“The people must stand solidly behind the BN government to ensure the government’s noble agenda can continue in the future,” he said.

Chee also urged the people to reject all the accusations thrown against the BN government by opposition.

He reminded the people to not be easily instigated by the propaganda of the opposition.

“The opposition is only good at playing with words and trying to incite people against the government,” he said.

Also present were Chee’s wife, Maryani Mohd Yassin.
