KUCHING: A total of 762 individuals from the high-risk group and above the age of 60 years old will be receiving their Covid-19 vaccines in Sri Aman during the second phase of the National Covid-19 Immunisation programme.
Community Wellbeing Assistant Minister Datuk Francis Harden Hollis said the government is targeting to vaccinate 82,379 people in Sri Aman division.
“I call on the people of Sri Aman to register for the vaccination immediately through the MySejahtera app or the district office.
“I would also like to thank those who turned up for the vaccination. This is in line with the government’s aspiration to ensure that all target groups receive their vaccines,” said Harden, who is also Simanggang assemblyman, when met at the Sri Aman Division Covid-19 Immunisation Programme on Saturday (Apr 24) at Sri Aman Civic Centre.
During his visit, Harden also donated boxes of drinking water and food for the medical staff who were administering the vaccine.
Meanwhile, Sri Aman acting Resident Elvis Didit, during his visit to Sri Aman Civic Centre last Friday (Apr 23), expressed his satisfaction with the number of senior citizens who turned up for their jabs.
He also called on the rural people to register for the vaccination through their community leaders or at the district office and nearby health clinic.
