87 receive excellent service awards

KUCHING: Eighty-seven teachers and education officers statewide received excellent service awards and five others received certificates of appreciation from the  State Education Department yesterday.

Speaking during the ceremony, Director of State Education Department Rakayah Madon urged the educators to improve their efforts and commitment to achieve the Ministry of Education’s vision.

“This year is the second wave (2016-2017) of the Malaysian Education Development Blueprint (PPPM 2013-2015).

“This means that all educators at every level must double their commitment seriously and vigorously in efforts to bring improvement in the transformation of the the education system to achieve the 6 Student Aspiration and 5 System Aspiration in effort to achieve the Ministry of Education vision,” said Rakayah.

She added they will continue to intensify their efforts to achieve excellence in education, especially in Sarawak.
