KUCHING: The Sarawak Manufacturers’ Association (SMA) vaccinated 900 employees from 13 manufacturing companies against Covid-19 on Sunday (July 11).

The inoculation of the employees followed the state government’s announcement that it might soon allow certain industries to fully operate after all their employees had been vaccinated.

“I urge industrial players to participate in the state government’s vaccination programme to provide a safe working environment for both their employees and employers,” said SMA president, Joseph Lau Ka Hoo when he visited the industrial vaccination centre (PPVIN) at The Spring Shopping Mall here.

According to him, the vaccination programme under SMA will be on until Tuesday (July 13).

“Any interested industrial players may contact our secretary general, Stephen Hii Hium Ung at 0168880510,” he added.
