The blood donation drive receives good response from the staff and public.

MIRI: A blood donation drive organised by Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad saw 94 people donating their blood here on Saturday.

The drive held in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Miri Hospital and Malaysian Red Crescent Society (Miri Chapter) was a part of the company’s initiatives to give back to the community.

According to its Assistant Head of Support & Services, Joseph Ling, the blood donation drive was also to promote awareness of blood stock shortages frequently encountered by the blood banks across Sarawak especially during festive seasons and school holidays when demand rises.

“We would like to thank the public for their support towards our blood donation drive,” he added.
