KUCHING: Tourists or those with a keen interest in Sarawak heritage products can visit the newly opened Heritage Central Gallery.

The gallery, which is conveniently located right in the heart of Kuching, is next to the Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) building and the iconic Padang Merdeka. It was officially opened by the Chief Minister’s wife Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang here yesterday.

Heritage Central Gallery functions as a locale to gather and showcase heritage products by Sarawak entrepreneurs.

Juma’ani was given a tour of the gallery, perusing the variety of Sarawak heritage products on display, which included textiles, crafts and food products.

At the textiles category, songkets and keringkam were displayed, while for crafts, the products displayed included unique accessories such as those fashioned out of dabai seeds which have been made into beads.
