KUCHING: A total of 33 Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation officers received excellent service awards during STIDC Integrity Day 2019 celebration at Wisma Sumber Alam here, yesterday.

STIDC general manager Hashim Bojet said quality service and integrity are inseparable in STIDC’s journey towards service excellence.

“STIDC has also created the Corruption Risk Management (CRM) with the support of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC),” he remarked.

Hashim revealed that STIDC was also the first statutory body in Sarawak’s civil service to be certified under ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS).

“Next, we will develop the Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP) to complete the implementation of initiatives to cultivate integrity in STIDC.

“STIDC is also in the process of developing Big Data to empower the management of the timber industry in Sarawak,” he added.

According to him, this system is expected to be a one-stop centre for agencies that require data related to the timber industry.
