KUCHING: The public has been urged to get assessed and undergo a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test as a means to ensure everyone’s safety.

An active case detection (ACD) operation for Covid-19 was carried out at ICOM Square, Jalan Pending here today.

This was revealed by Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian.

“ACD is organised to help the public in Covid-19 highly exposed areas.

“This is for everyone’s safety. Please do you part and play your role in keeping those around you and Sarawak safe,” he said in a Facebook post today.

Dr Sim thanked the Kuching Divisional Disaster Management Committee for organising the ACD together with the different agencies.

In view of the fourth wave of Covid-190 and surge in cases, more ACDs will be carried out in Kuching.
