KUCHING: A united and solid Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) means a stronger and more effective Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), said PBB veteran Datuk Peter Minos.
Minos in echoing the sentiment said this is a big blessing to Sarawak with a good shining future.
“It looks like Sarawak politics is rock solid because PBB, Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP), Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) as well as Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) have shown real unity and solidarity in GPS, and it will be so to last.
“That unity had made best dividends as recently seen in the GPS massive victory in the last state election and in deciding as well as working together in developing Sarawak in the social and economic fields.
“This explains why SUPP, PRS and PDP attend the official opening of the PBB convention in full force and are pleased as well as happy doing so,” he said, applauding the four constituent parties’ unity.
Minos added the rule of Sarawak by GPS, is one rule that gives a sense of great confidence and trust to all people of Sarawak.
He emphasised his thoughts saying that people are assured that Sarawak is well looked after and in safe, responsible and capable hands.
“Apart from defending the state’s rights and powers, Sarawak will not be bullied by any quarter under GPS.
“And we will see and obtain a bright and shining future in all fields of endeavour in the years ahead,” he said in a statement today.
Minos also noted that PBB, as a party that practices good unity and good leadership, is the true backbone of GPS.
“And that is why PBB has established itself as a responsible and capable leader in GPS — always playing fair and being reasonable to its GPS partners and always respecting the culture of fairness and justice,” he stressed.
