KUCHING: A vacant house in Lorong 13, Kampung Bintawa Tengah here, was engulfed in flames today.
The incident was reported to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) at 12.06 pm, prompting the deployment of a team from the Petra Jaya fire station.
Upon arrival, firemen encountered a fierce blaze consuming a recently constructed 30×30 square feet structure. The wooden house was entirely destroyed by the fire.
The team employed an aggressive ‘Offensive’ strategy to battle the flames, deploying two hose streams connected to the engine’s pump. Their efforts successfully contained the fire by 12.30 pm, and they swiftly moved to overhaul operations to ensure the fire was completely extinguished.
The operation concluded at 12.58 pm.
There were no injuries or fatalities reported in this incident.
