KUCHING: Three police reports have been filed against Zool Amali Hussin, commonly known as ‘Bozz Jebat’, over his disrespectful remarks on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mancha Ata when contacted, said as at 11 am today, they have received three police reports on the matter.
“So far, we have received three police reports.
“Investigations are currently underway,” he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948 and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
The Sedition Act provides for a maximum fine of up to RM5,000 or imprisonment for up to three years or both, upon conviction.
Meanwhile, under the Communications and Multimedia Act, it carries a fine of up to RM50,000 or imprisonment up to one year or both.
Police confirmed that the reports were filed at the Santubong police station (two) and Gita police station.
