KUCHING: A total of 32 recipients from the Indian Association Kuching (IAK) received Bakul Rahmah from the Lions Club Kuching Unity and Pertubuhan Pembangunan Insan Sarawak (PPIS).
PPIS president Manjeet Kaur Sindhu said that the project is organised to aid those in need.
“For Lions Club Kuching Unity, we believe in leaving no race behind. Living in a multiracial state compels us to assist anyone in need of aid, regardless of their race or religion,” she said.
Following this, she also thanked those who contributed to the project.
“We will continue our efforts to help more people. Tomorrow, we will be visiting Kampung Asajaya to assist the Muslim community in their preparations for Ramadan and Hari Raya,” she added.
