That’s exactly what a girl came across – a foot-long cobra in her bedroom, and by her bedside at her home in Bandar Baru Permaijaya here last night
Fortunately for her, she was not harmed in the close encounter of the slithery kind.
Her quick-thinking mother immediately alerted the Civil Defence Force (APM) at 9.39 pm.
The reptile was spotted earlier around 9 pm when the girl saw a dark long object by her bedside.
It was captured by the APM and released to its natural habitat away from the residential area.
Meanwhile in Song, a man was shocked to discover a python hiding in his library.
He alerted APM which despatched a three-member team to the scene at 10.46 pm last night.
It did not take long before the team managed to spot and capture the three-feet-long python.
