KUCHING: A bridal studio business can be tough even for the seasoned go-to names in the industry.

It can be demanding, time-consuming and hard on the feet, all at once, for the simple reason that the business is about pandering to your customers’ every wish.

But Nathalie Le-Cie Gosele,33, who got into the world of bridal makeup at the tender age of 22 has taken to the business with relative ease, thanks to varied experiences over the last 11 years.

Today she operates out of her bridal studio in Batu Kawa and is living out her dreams.

“My dream is I want to bloom in this bridal industry, especially in plus size wedding dresses and in hairdos,” said Nathalie.

“This is something that we need to look into for business sustainability.”

Ultimately she wants to offer services to all brides and bring about the best moment of their life.

Nathalie who cut her teeth in the business with Sephora said it was her biggest opportunity and a stepping stone to move forward.

”I started as a hobby, self taught until I joined Sephora, I got all the professional training from brand trainers like Tarte, Urban Decay, Makeup Forever, Marc Jacob and lots more.”

She now runs her studio with the help of a few assistants especially on site.

Nathalie said she priorities the quality of her work, most importantly making customers look their best.

“This bridal business operates from as early as 2am upon assignment from clients. Normally on site jobs stretch until 10pm, depending on location and client demand,” she said.

“I am normally free from Monday till Wednesday. The hustle and bustle usually begins from Thursday onwards until Sunday.

Like most of her peers Nathalie has a presence on social media such as Facebook and Instagram to spread the word on her business.

But word of mouth has been an equally effective mode especially when satisfied customers speak well of her to others.

“The one who gives me the motivation to continue in this business is my mother because she wants her bridal boutique to be continued by the next generation,” she said.
