KUCHING: The new federal Cabinet line-up, which consists of experienced, capable, hardworking, people-oriented ministers with good integrity records, will form a good strong team, said Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah.

The Minister of Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Child Development added, “With the new federal cabinet, the country can focus on managing Covid-19 and, subsequently, provide all kinds of assistance for the wellbeing of the people affected by it.

“It is also hoped that they will help the economy to recover. The government must also continue to create peace, stability and harmony among its multi-racial society and restore Malaysia to its former glory,” she told New Sarawak Tribune when contacted on Friday (Aug 27).

Fatimah added the federal Cabinet line-up announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob was a fair representation from various parties, regions and gender.

“However, more women could be appointed to the new federal Cabinet,” she said.
