MIRI: A cat was rescued from a tree near Pantai Pulau Melayu here on Friday evening.
The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (MCDF) Miri spokesperson said the cat was climbing the tree when it got stuck about 20 feet off the ground after it ran away from a dog.
Earlier, the cat’s 22-year-old owner was taking it for a walk along the beach when the cat suddenly ran away and scaled the tree after it was scared away by a dog.
A team of MCDF rushed to the scene after they received a call from the owner at 5.22 PM.
They successfully rescue the cat and reunite the pet with its owner.
