And on Monday (Feb 7), her worst nightmare came true when her retiree husband Sia Yik Heng, 63, was found drowned some distance away from where he had been fishing.

He was reported missing when he failed to return home from a fishing trip to Sungai Maaw, Paradom on Saturday (Feb 5).

The body was found floating in the river around 9.35am, about 5km from where he is believed to have fallen from his boat.

It was learnt that he had gone fishing alone on Saturday, promising his wife that he would come home by 12.30pm as he had to send their children to the airport.

However, when he failed to show up his wife went out looking for Sia and found his car parked at the Nan Chong jetty.
