Abang Johari appointed patron of KGS

KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has been appointed as the patron of Sarawak Golf Club (KGS).

According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report, KGS chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani said Abang Johari—previously the president of KGS—had now been appointed patron as per the club’s constitution.

He told the media this after paying a courtesy call on Abang Johari on Monday (July 18).

Morshidi added that the new president post would be held by the State Secretary.
