KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg held a meeting with Indonesian Vice President Prof Dr Ma’ruf Amin at a hotel here today. 

According to TVS, the 40-minute meeting was aimed atdiscussing several matters. 

Additionally, Dr Ma’ruf met with the Indonesian community in Sarawak to gather input from his people. 

Also present were Abang Johari’s wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, and Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi and Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Dr Juanda Jaya.

Dr Ma’ruf arrived here on Tuesday to represent IndonesianPresident Joko Widodo at the Global Muslim Business Forum (GMBF) 2023. 

Yesterday (Nov 28), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim received a visit from Dr Ma’ruf at a leading hotel here.

Anwar said the discussions focused on strengthening commitment and consensus between the two neighbouringcountries, addressing various shared interests, including investment, trade, and Indonesian workforce.
