The first visit began with a delegation from the Ex-Police Association of Malaysia, Sarawak Branch, led by its chairman ASP (rtd) Benjamin Gersit Jais together with the Sarawak Police Alumni Association led by its president Datuk Abang Abdul Wahab Abang Julai.

The aim of the visit was to make known to the Chief Minister the new lineup of the Sarawak ExPolice Association committee for 2018/2020.

The association now has 1,723 members. The next visit was a delegation from the Sarawak Pensioners’ Association led by its president Julaihi Ismail. The association, which was formed in 1971, is seeking for their temporary office building at Jalan Reservoir (which it has been occupying for the last 10 years) to be converted into a permanent building for the association.

The third courtesy call was from the Malaysian Institute of Architects, Sarawak Chapter (PAMSC) led by its president Boon Joon Hin. PAMSC made known to the Chief Minister that it has now established a Technical Consultation Committee (JTCC) and is actively promoting the Green Building Index (GBI). Next was a delegation from the Miri Sikh Association, led by its president, Narmal Singh. The association expressed its full support towards the Chief Minister for practising an open concept as well as to invite him to its annual dinner scheduled for March this year in Miri. Finally, a delegation from the Malaysian Dental Association Eastern Zone (MDAEZ) led by its president, Dr James Chhoa came to invite the Chief Minister to declare open the 8th Borneo Dental Congress, to be held from March 23-25 in Kuching.
