Accident claims life of 31-year-old housewife

BINTULU: A housewife lost control of her vehicle, crashing it into a lamp post on Wednesday (Feb 16).

She died later at Bintulu Hospital around 8.30am while receiving treatment.

In the accident took place in Jalan Sebiew at about 6.15am, the victim, Sylvia Remah Bujang, 31, was on her way to Bintulu town.

Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the victim was still alive at the scene when she was found.

“The victim was believed to have lost control of her vehicle and it crashed into a lamp post in the middle of the road,” according to Supt Alexson.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
