ACD exercise at Taman Tasik Permai on Saturday

SIBU: Following the high cases recorded in the Permai and Jeriah Zones, a Covid-19 active case detection (ACD) exercise will be implemented this Saturday (August 14).

The Sibu Divisional Disaster Management Committee (DDMC), iny a statement on Wednesday (Aug 11), said the ACD would be conducted at the Taman Tasik Permai compound from 9am to 1pm.

Local residents in both zones are urged to undergo the exercise by bringing along their identity cards.

“Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) such as physical distancing and wearing a face mask.

“At the event, please provide a contactable mobile phone number. Your wise action in going for the Covid-19 screening test can help break the chain of this deadly virus,” the statement added.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) on Wednesday reported that the Sibu district had recorded 40 positive Covid-19 cases, with 15 cases in the Permai and Jeriah Zones.
