BAU: The residents of housing areas here are reminded to not let their dogs roam freely in the residential areas.
According to Bau District Council, recently the council has received a lot of complaints regarding pets (dogs) roaming freely around the residential areas and disturbing the safety of the residents.
“We urge that all residents should not let their dogs roaming in the housing estates, whether licensed or unlicensed.
“If it is found that any of the residents do not adhere to the reminder, the council will carry out an operation without any warning notice to catch the dogs,” said the council in a notice posted on its Facebook page, recently.
It also said that the council would impose enforcement actions against dog owners who violate the laws provided under “The Local Authorities (Dog Licensing And Control) By-Laws, 2018”.
