Adam Prakash new STU president

KUCHING: Adam Prakash Abdullah was appointed as the new president of Sarawak Teachers Union (STU) at its 25th Biennial Delegates’ Conference held at Penview Hotel here on Sunday (Dec 20).

The conference was held to allow for election of the Union’s Principal Office bearers who will take office for the next two years.

Adam was elected unopposed for the term 2020-2022, replacing the outgoing president Macky Joseph.

The deputy president is Voon Choon Teck while the vice presidents are Kullin Djayang (Southern Zone), Goh Wee Mei (Central Zone), Soo Siew Huong (Northern Zone) and Kho Chung Wei (Women).

Other executive members include Chung Fui San (secretary general); Cheng Chau Voon (deputy secretary general); Ellina Sian, Yong Ein Chen, Kenneth Jampang, and Omar Ali Kua (assistant secretary generals); Chan Chiew Sze (treasurer general) and Bong Siew Fong (assistant treasurer general).
