KUCHING: “It has been seven years, yet your presence is felt here with us,” said Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian as he fondly remembered the late Pehin Sri Adenan Satem.

Dr Sim said this on Facebook today (Jan 11) as well as updating his profile picture to a photo of late Adenan or affectionately known as Tok Nan.

He also repeated Adenan’s famous quote of “Jaga Sarawak bait-bait (Please look after Sarawak).”

Yesterday marked the seventh year of the Sarawak’s fifth chief minister’s passing.

Meanwhile Tanjung Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan also remembered the demise of his father through his official Facebook page.

“Exactly seven years since the passing of my late father, Pehin Sri Adenan Satem. His spirit and struggles continues to remain fresh in our memories,” he said.

Azizul also took the opportunity to thank the delegation led by Dr Sim for visiting Adenan’s grave at Samariang Muslim Cemetery at Jalan Sultan Tengah here in the morning together with his mother Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu.

“May his soul be blessed with mercy and be placed among the believers. Al-Fatihah,” he said.
