KUCHING: Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi said that the people still need to adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protect themselves as well as their families in order to return to normal life.
The Assistant Minister of Utilities (Water Supply) said that it is time for the community to live in a pre-pandemic environment together with Covid-19.
“Although it seems strange and difficult, the current situation demands the community to live in this situation when the pandemic changes to endemic later.
“This is to ensure that all activities that are the norm in community life can be continued as usual such as the opening of the economic sector, schools, religious activities and so on,” he added.
He further noted that the Covid-19 is a part of our lives as its transmission is everywhere as of now.
“Thus, it is important for the people to adhere to the given SOPs. We cannot take the situation lightly. In addition, the people should still need to seek medical attention when they have symptoms such as fever, sore throat, and flu,” he advised.
